What We’re Looking For:
An Automotive Service Greeter provides the crucial
first impression in a dealership service drive by welcoming customers, managing
vehicle traffic, and initiating the check-in process. They verify appointments,
tag vehicles, offer amenities, and connect clients with service advisors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Greeting & Reception: Welcome customers immediately upon
arrival with a positive attitude, often by name, and manage the flow of
traffic in the service drive.
- Check-In Process: Verify
service appointments, record key vehicle information (mileage, VIN), and
document existing damage.
- Initial Vehicle Inspection: Apply protective seat covers/floor mats and, in some cases,
check tires and fluid levels.
- Customer Assistance: Guide
customers to the waiting lounge, offer refreshments, and connect them with
the appropriate service advisor.
- Service Area Maintenance: Keep
the service drive tidy, safe, and organized.
Key skills include, but are not
limited to:
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal
communication skills with a professional demeanor. Ability to interact
with customers in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
- Fast-Paced Capability: Ability
to manage multiple tasks and clients simultaneously.
- Professionalism: Maintaining
a neat, professional appearance and demeanor.
- Physical Requirements: Ability
to stand and walk for extended periods, and sometimes lift up to 25
pounds.
Common Qualifications
- Valid driver's license.
